Michele and David Nelson of Albert Lea announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Nelson, to Eduardo Antpack, the son of Eduardo Antpack and Maria Antpack.

The bride’s grandparents are Lauris and the late Dorothy Nelson and Betty Lampman and the late Irvin Lampman.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Albert Lea High School and a 2006 graduate of Winona State University with a bachelor of science in nursing. She is currently attending Clarkson College in Omaha, Neb., for a master of science degree to be a family nurse practitioner. She is employed as a registered nurse at Mayo Clinic Health System in Rochester.

The groom is a 1999 graduate of Colegio Maria Auxilliadora in Porto Alegre, Brazil, and a 2005 graduate of Universidade Federal de Ciências da Saúde de Porto Alegre with a doctorate degree. He is employed as a general surgery resident at Mayo Clinic Health System in Rochester.

An Aug. 17, 2013, wedding is planned in Rochester.
