Patti (Farry) Johannsen of Prescott, Ariz., passed away on July 24, 2013. Beloved wife, mother, sister and aunt, she was born in Albert Lea on Oct. 12, 1947.

Patti graduated high school from Albert Lea Central High and received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in education from Arizona State University. She taught elementary and special education students for more than 30 years in the Cartwright School District in Phoenix and Chino Valley Unified School District. Patti loved nature, gardening and travel. She will be remembered always for her kindness and gentle nature. She is preceded in death by her parents, John P. (Rip) and Dorothy Farry. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Bob Johannsen, sister Carolyn Donovan, brother John Farry and sister-in-law Anne Scott, stepchildren Brad and Dreya Johannsen, and several nieces and a nephew. A memorial gathering is planned for Sunday, Aug. 11 at 1:30 p.m. at Thumb Butte Park in Prescott, Ariz.
