Ashley Hall and Derek Peterson announce their engagement.

Hall’s parents are Daryl and Gina Hall of rural Butterfield. Her grandparents are Gene and Joyce Lenning of Butterfield and Harold and Leota (Hall) Quiring of rural Mountain Lake.

Peterson’s parents are Steve and Deanne Peterson of Alden. His grandparents are Roger and Charlotte Peterson of Alden and Charlotte Nelson of Albert Lea.

Hall is a 2005 graduate of Butterfield-Odin High School. She graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in radiologic technology from St. Cloud State University and did her clinical coursework at the Mayo Clinic School of Health Services. She is employed at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin.

Peterson is a 2006 graduate of Alden-Conger High School. He graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in agribusiness from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall. He is self-employed.

A Nov. 9 wedding is planned at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Odin.
