Funeral services for Ardis Pedersen will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Alden. The Rev. Greg Ofsdahl will officiate. Interment will be at Carlston Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Online condolences are welcome at www.bayviewfuneral.com.

Ardis died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea.

Ardis Cecelia Pedersen was born on May 28, 1930, in Albert Lea to Victor and Cecelia (Johnson) Peterson. She was baptized at the Swedish Lutheran Church in Mansfield.  Ardis grew up in the Alden area and attended Alden High School. On Sept. 19, 1948, Ardis was united in marriage to Henrik Pedersen at the Swedish Lutheran Church in Mansfield. Together they farmed in the Alden area until they retired in 1983 and moved into Alden. Ardis was active in the Alden Legion auxiliary, delivered meals for Meals on Wheels and was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards and reading.

Survivors include her daughters, Nancy (Chuck) Post, Karen Pedersen and Beth (Ron) Wilder; grandchildren, Justin (Sarah) Wilder, Nathan Wilder, Shane (Whitney) Wilder, Henrik Wilder, Nic (Casey) Post and Kristen Post; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Suzie Wilder, Adrianne, Allie and Avin Wilder and Riley and Aden Post; brother-in-law, Leo Pedersen; sister-in-law, Ruthie Pedersen; nephew and nieces, Janet (Dennis) Brekke, Debbie (Bill) Pedersen, Steve Pedersen and Donna (Darrell) Hill.

Ardis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henrik, in 2000; father and mother-in-law; sisters, Marvelyn Grinolds, Eleanor Pedersen and Rosie Pedersen; brothers-in-law, Arnold Pedersen, Dale Grinolds and Herluf Pedersen; niece, Linda Jensen; and nephew Darnell Grinolds.
