Sports teams to host basket nights

First Lutheran Church will hold its Holidays Ahead Bazaar from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The event is sponsored by the First Lutheran Church Women for Missions.
There will be crafts, lefse, cookies, candy and a bake shop. Poinsettias will be provided by Addie’s Floral & Gift.
Coffee will be served in Bethany Hall at First Lutheran Church from 8 to 10 a.m. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Friday
• The Herr family benefit is from 4 to 8 p.m. at Wedgewood Cove. There will be a silent auction, meal, bake sale and live auction.
• The Albert Lea High School boys’ basketball team is holding a burger/chicken basket fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Albert Lea American Legion Club. The tickets are $8 per person.
• Albert Lea High School presents its fall musical, “Footloose,” at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Tickets are $5 for students, $7 for adults and can be purchased at the door.
• An open dart tournament takes place at the Big Island Bar & Grille starting at 8 p.m. There is a reception and a mini tournament, too. The eatery is at Americas Best Value Inn. Entry fee is $15 person person. The tournament goes all weekend.
Saturday
• The Albert Lea Farmers Market is open from 9 a.m. to noon at Northbridge Mall by the food court.
• Lehto & Wright, a bluegrass band, plays at 7:30 p.m. at the Lighthouse Events Center. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door.
• Albert Lea High School presents its fall musical, “Footloose,” at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Tickets are $5 for students, $7 for adults and can be purchased at the door.
• The Albert Lea High School wrestling team is running a basket night meal from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Albert Lea American Legion Club. Tickets are $8 per person. Baskets offered are pulled pork, chicken strips, hamburger, french fries and pop, water or coffee.
• Comedians Tommy Thompson and Randy Ankarlo perform from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at America’s Best Value Inn. Tickets are $10 per person.
• A live band called Ghost performs at 9 p.m. at America’s Best Value Inn.
Sunday
• Children’s Letters to God is at 2 p.m. at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center.
• Breakfast at the Albert Lea American Legion Club is from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost is $5 per person, under 6 free.
