Jay and Darci Bergland of Albert Lea announce the engagement of their daughter, Amber Bergland, to Christopher May, the son of Mark and Tami May of Austin.

The bride’s great-grandmother is Agnes Gates of Fosston.

The groom’s grandparents are Lanny and Karen Krachmer and Don and Patty May of Austin.

The bride is a 2012 graduate of Albert Lea High School and is attending Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa.

The groom is a 2005 graduate of Austin High School and is attending Riverland Community College.

An April 4, 2015, wedding is planned at United Methodist Church in Ellendale.
