ST. PAUL — After the first round of the Class A state tournament, Dillon Kubiatowicz led a trio of NRHEG wrestlers by earning a spot in the quarterfinals Friday at the Xcel Center.

Kubiatowicz beat Wyatt Stevens of Windom/Mountain Lake with a 3-2 decision to advance at 113 pounds.

Dillon Card of Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale snuck past NRHEG’s Todd Erickson at 220 pounds with a 4-2 decision, and Cordell Peterson of NRHEG lost to Brenden Coyer of Osakis with a 21-5 technical fall.

Kubiatowicz will compete in the quarterfinals at 4:30 p.m. today.
