ST. PAUL — Garrett Aldrich of Albert Lea is the Class AA state champion at 106 pounds.

Aldrich beat Cole Jones of Grand Rapid in the championship match with a 10-8 decision. Aldrich took a 5-2 lead into the second period, but Jones tied the match at 6. Aldrich stayed aggressive and added a takedown late in the period to take an 8-6 lead and hung on for the win.
