TWIN LAKES — A Brooklyn Center man was seriously injured Wednesday morning in a rollover crash on Interstate 35 three miles north of the Iowa border.
David O. McClanahan, 52, was flown to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester for his injuries. Initial reports indicated McClanahan suffered a head injury.
He was listed in critical condition this morning, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
McClanahan was driving southbound on I-35 in a 2005 Dodge Ram when he reportedly lost control of the pickup, struck the guardrail and rolled, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
He was the sole occupant in the vehicle. The State Patrol lists the road condition at the time of the crash as icy.
McClanahan was wearing his seat belt, and no alcohol was detected.
Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office detective Chuck Malepsy said traffic was blocked in both southbound lanes as crews responded to the crash.
Brooklyn Center is a suburb north of Minneapolis.
