The Albert Lea boys’ tennis team jumped back over .500 Thursday by sweeping Faribault on the road.
Aside from the No. 1 singles match, the Tigers (3-2 overall) won by a combined score of 60-3.
Albert Lea’s Taylor Herfindahl rebounded after losing the first set of the top singles match to win 5-7, 6-4 and 6-3.
“It was a hard fought three-set match,” said Albert Lea assistant coach Matt Levorson. “Taylor lost the first set, but came back to win the second and third sets.”
Levorson led the Tigers because head coach Tom Dyrdal was attending the wedding of his son, Andrew.
Next, Albert Lea will play its second home match of the season at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday against Rochester John Marshall.
