The Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce is asking for assistance in selecting the theme for the annual Third of July Parade.

Entries for the parade are decorated in accordance with the theme. The local Chamber of Commerce is the parade organizer.

There are nine choices:

• Celebrating the American Dream

• Only in America

• American Patriots

• Hats off to America

• America the Beautiful

• Let Freedom Ring

• American Pride

• Stars & Stripes

• Sound of Freedom

Chamber of Commerce Director Randy Kehr encouraged people to participate.

“The parade impacts a tremendous number of people,” he said. “To cast a vote for the theme only takes a computer and a minute. It’s a relatively small effort to actively participate in selecting the theme of what’s become a tradition in Albert Lea.”

The choices will be on the homepage of the Tribune’s website for a week. People also can vote on the themes at the chamber website, www.albertlea.org and clicking on “Events & Links,” then on “Vote Here.”
