A score of 315 at Wedgewood Cove Golf Club gave the Albert Lea boys’ golf team a pair of wins Wednesday against Austin and Winona.

Winona took second place with a score of 348, and Austin was third with 362.

Albert Lea’s Lucas Peterson earned medalist honors with a 74, and teammate Brent Nafzger shot a 75 to take runner-up medalist honors. Peterson and Nafzger were the only golfers in the field to finish the course in fewer than 80 strokes.

Brady Loch and Alex Syverson also contributed to the team score. Loch shot an 82, and Syverson finished in 84 strokes.

The meet was originally scheduled for today at Green Lea Golf Course, but it was moved to Wednesday because of weather concerns.

Next, Albert Lea (4-0 overall) will play Friday at The Ridges at Sand Creek at Jordan. Time has not been determined.
