The NRHEG baseball team won its first game of the season on Monday and continued Tuesday by thrashing the No. 1 team in the Gopher Conference standings, Randolph, 16-6 in five innings.
The Rockets entered the game with a 6-0 record, and they were coming off a 10-1 win at United South Central — the No. 2 team in the conference standings — on Monday.
Carson Field went the distance for NRHEG on the mound. He allowed 11 hits but didn’t allow a walk and struck out three batters.
Dillon Parpart led the Panthers from the plate. He was 3-for-4 and one of seven NRHEG players to score two runs.
