The high jump was a strong event for the NRHEG track and field team Thursday at the Blooming Prairie true team meet.
Carlie Wagner set a school record by jumping 5-9, and T.J. Schiltz set a personal best with a leap of 6 feet.
“Carlie was unbelievable,” said NRHEG coach Duey Ferber. “That’s that fifth-best jump in Minnesota history.”
Wagner and Schiltz also won one other event. Wagner took first place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.39, and Schiltz won the 3,200-meter run with a time of 10 minutes, 20.80 seconds.
As a team, the NRHEG girls finished second with 321 points, four points behind Blooming Prairie. The NRHEG boys took second place out of four teams with 307 points.
