Minnesota First District Veterans of Foreign Wars and its Ladies Auxiliary will have an organizational meeting at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 2 in Cannon Falls. The meeting will be hosted by Cannon Falls VFW Post No. 4452 and its Ladies Auxiliary.

First District VFW commander Bill Murphy and First District VFW Ladies Auxiliary president Cheryl Hermanson will preside over the meetings.

VFW members will meet at the post home at 218 Fourth St. and the Ladies Auxiliary members will meet across the street at the Public Saftey building, 320 Hoffman St. in Cannon Falls.

National and department programs will be outlined and all district chairmen will present their programs for this upcoming year.

Meetings will conclude around noon with lunch served at the Cannon Falls VFW post home.

All chairpersons who are unable to attend should mail their program report to the Auxiliary district secretary prior to the meeting. It’s encouraged that all First District VFW post and Auxiliaries be in attendance to receive information on all programs.
