A wedding ceremony uniting Elizabeth Chominski and Nicholas Paulson was May 31, 2014, at the Landmark Hotel in Urbana, Ill.
Parents of the bride are Jeanne and Eric Shenkar of Fort Gratiot, Mich., and Jim Chominski of Algonac, Mich.
Parents of the groom are Paulette and David Paulson of rural Albert Lea.
Grandmothers of the bride are Lois Overton, Christine Chominski and Stella Shenkar.
Grandparents of the groom are Min and Paul Westland.
The bride’s best man was Paul Rodriguez, friend of the bride. Speakers for the bride were Julia Shenkar, sister of the bride; Shaula Clark, friend of the bride and Kim Burk, friend of the bride.
The groom’s best man was Chuck Van Guilder, friend of the groom. Speakers for the groom were Eric Micheels, friend of the groom; Meredith Blumthal, friend of the groom and Megan Puzey, friend of the groom.
The ring bearer was Xavier Anderson, friend of the bride and the flower girl was Nora Smith, niece of the groom.
The soloist was Betsy Smith, sister of the groom, and accompanist was Josh Houchin, friend of the groom.
A reception took place at the Landmark Hotel after the ceremony. A second wedding reception will be today at the home of Dave and Paulette Paulson.
The groom is an associate professor in the department of agriculture and consumer economics at the University of Illinois, Champaign/Urbana, Ill.
The bride is the assistant director of MBA services in the College of Business at the University of Illinois, Champaign/Urbana, Ill.
The couple makes their home in Urbana.
