Entertainer Terry Kline will perform “Remembering Elvis” at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center, 147 N. Broadway.

This remembrance of life is on the 37th anniversary of rock ’n’ roll pioneer Elvis Presley’s death. Presley, a cultural icon of the 20th century who became known as the King of Rock ’n’ Roll, died Aug. 16, 1977, at the age of 42, after years of prescription drug abuse.

His legacy lives on, however, through his music, and that is what the remembrance of life aims for. The DC Drifters will provide backup music to Kline, of Okoboji, Iowa, formerly of the nationally touring band Upson Downs Show Band.

Kline has been inducted into the Iowa Rock ’n’ Roll Hall of Fame.

The Maple Valley Classic Car Show begins at 8 a.m. in downtown Wells.

Softball and volleyball tournaments begin at 8 a.m. for Kernel Days in Wells.

Find some fresh produce, baked goods and more at the Albert Lea Farmers Market from 9 a.m. to noon at the Northbridge Mall parking lot, 2510 Bridge Ave.

USC old and new school tours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Wells.

A bocce ball tournament begins at 9 a.m. for Kernel Days in Wells.

Albert Lea Tiger varsity football will have a Cherry and Blue Scrimmage from 10 a.m. to noon at Hammer Field. Hot dogs, chips and water will be served at no cost after the scrimmage.

The Kernel Days Golf Tournament begins with registration at 9:30 a.m. at Wells Golf Club, 801 First Ave., Wells.

The Legion Post 56 golfing event will be 1 to 5 p.m. at Green Lea Golf Course, 101 E. Richway Drive. Registration is at noon. Dinner only is $10, golf and dinner is $50.

See the sights of Albert Lea Lake with a Pelican Breeze II public cruise at 1:30 p.m. at Frank Hall Park. Be at the park by 1:15 to board. A minimum of 10 passengers is needed to sail. Cost is $10 per person.
