Knights win 2nd game of the season

The Alden-Conger football team won its second game of the season Friday at Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman.
The Knights (2-4 overall) outlasted a fourth-quarter rally to win 28-22.
The victory also gave Alden-Conger its first Section 2 9-Man win of the season.
Colton Opsahl led the Knights with 161 rushing yards on 14 carries. Brady Neel added 92 yards on 11 carries.
Hunter O’Rourke posted a team-high 13 tackles, while Lucas VanEngelenburg and Jacob Wallin each had eight.
The teams the Knights have beaten this year are a combined 0-11. However, the schedule will get tougher with a game at 7 p.m. next Friday against Nicollet (5-1 overall) at Alden.
