2 hurt in I-35 crash near Iowa

Two people were injured Wednesday afternoon after a crash on an icy portion of Interstate 35 one mile north of the Iowa border.
Kelly J. Clarke, 33, of Golden Valley and Bobby G. Muse, 34, of Minneapolis were transported by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Their injuries were deemed not life-threatening.
The report states a four-door 2002 Saturn, driven by Travis J. Busch, 35 of Anoka, and a 2009 Mercury Milan, driven by Clarke, were both headed southbound on I-35 when the Saturn lost control and slid into the back of the Mercury.
The Saturn had been in the left lane, and the Mercury was in the right lane.
Muse was a passenger in Clarke’s car.
Busch was not injured.
The crash took place at 4:20 p.m. The State Patrol classified it as a sideswipe collision.
All occupants were wearing their seat belts, and no alcohol was detected.
The report stated both vehicles sustained minor damage.
