Albert Lea girls’ soccer players are recognized

- The Albert Lea girls’ soccer team finished the season with a 12-4-2 overall record and a berth in the Class A state soccer tournament. The Tigers were 7-3-1 in the Big Nine Conference, and five players earned conference awards at a banquet on Nov. 4 at Albert Lea City Arena. From left are Taylor Thompson, All-Conference; Megan Kortan, All-Conference; Becca Dup, All-Conference; Sarah Niebuhr, All-Conference honorable mention; and Claire Sherman, All-Conference honorable mention. Kortan was also presented with the Tigers’ MVP award. — Provided
