JORDAN — Police have arrested a man accused of hitting his hitting his girlfriend in the head with a gun in a church in the southwestern Twin Cities.

Authorities said the 32-year-old man attacked the woman about 9 p.m. Saturday at Hope Lutheran Church in Jordan, then fled apparently in a stolen vehicle.

Police announced the man’s arrest Sunday afternoon but provided no details.

Police said no shots were fired in the domestic incident. The woman was treated for her injuries at a hospital and released.
