COLD SPRING — The city of Cold Spring will hold a candlelight vigil to honor a police officer killed while on duty in 2012.
The memorial on Nov. 29 will mark the two-year anniversary of Cold Spring-Richmond Police Officer Tom Decker’s death. The 31-year-old was ambushed, shot and killed outside of a Cold Spring bar.
No charges have been reported. A man whom police were prepared to arrest for the killing committed suicide during a standoff with authorities in January 2013.
