BROOKLYN PARK — Authorities in a Twin Cities suburb are investigating the death of a 6-year-old child.

First responders were called to a home in Brooklyn Park Saturday night where the child had lost consciousness.

Officials said emergency personnel performed CPR. The child died later at North Memorial Hospital.

Local police and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner are investigating.
