Shoe Sensation will present the Salvation Army with $234.38 in donations collected from its customers during a drive to assist the organization.
Salvation Army is a non-profit organization that assists residents of Freeborn County with a wide range of basic needs and services, including a midday meal program.
From Dec. 2 through Dec. 8 donations were accepted from customers on behalf of the Salvation Army at the Albert Lea Shoe Sensation. Individuals making a donation of $1 or more during the drive were rewarded with 10 percent off their purchase of a single item at Shoe Sensation. The money donated will be used for the charity to continue to deliver services to the young children in the community.
“We are very excited about the results of our partnership with Salvation Army this year,” said Jim Quiggins, vice president of marketing for Shoe Sensation. “Our goal was to make it effortless for our customers to make a big difference in someone’s life through the small gesture of donating a dollar. Working together with our customers and Salvation Army to help children in this community has been a sensational experience.”
