The Glenville-Emmons boys’ basketball team posted its second straight win Friday with a 46-44 victory over Lanesboro.
“It was back and forth the whole game,” said Wolverines coach Jared Matson. “In the second half, we picked up some momentum.”
Glenville-Emmons led 26-20 at halftime and held off a rally by the Burros.
Derek Van Ryswyk led the Wolverines with a double-double: 23 points and 14 rebounds. Carter Dahlum added nine points, Seth Chapek, 8, and Marshal Hall, 6.
Matson said strong defensive play will be a key going forward.
Next, the Wolverines (2-2 overall, 2-1 Southeast Conference) will play at 7:15 p.m. Monday at Houston (4-4 overall, 4-3 Southeast Conference).
The Hurricanes are coming off a 68-52 loss Friday at Lyle/Pacelli.
