Jackie died on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at Oak Park Place.

Jackie Childress was born on March 2, 1920, in Tuscola, Ill., the daughter of Hubert and Edith (Durnil) Ingrum. She grew up and went to school there. Jackie was a member of the Valverde Presbyterian Church in Denver. She was active as a church deacon. Jackie was self-employed as a caterer and party planner. She served as president of the American Business Women, Denver chapter. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking and sewing quilts for missions. Jackie volunteered for many organizations. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and traveling with her family.

Survivors include her sons William (Darlene) Ridle of California, James (Pat) Ridle of North Carolina and Dean (Rene) Gibson of Washington; daughter Margaret Kuethe of Alden; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters Ethel Needham of Colorado and Mary Olehy of Indiana; and her brother Roger (Pat) Ingrum of Kentucky; sisters-in-law Norma, Jeanne and Harriet Ingrum all of Illinois.

Jackie was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold Ridle, Don Gibson and Fred Childress, her daughter Linda Sue Pound, her parents and six siblings.
