ST. CLOUD — Islamic leaders in St. Cloud said someone has vandalized at least two faith centers and worshipers’ property in recent weeks.

A Central Minnesota Islamic Center spokesman said windows have been broken at the center three times in the last few weeks. He said vehicle windows have also been smashed while people attend morning prayer at the center and at a St. Cloud mosque.

St. Cloud police said they are investigating the incidents.

The spokesman said the center plans to install additional security cameras on the property and will have to pay nearly $1,000 to repair one of its double-pained windows. He said leaders and worshippers are part of the St. Cloud community and don’t want to be targeted.
