Terrapins top Wagner, Gophers

MINNEAPOLIS — Brene Moseley made two free throws with 2.8 seconds left to give 12th-ranked Maryland a 77-73 win over No. 23 Minnesota on Sunday.
Minnesota’s Carlie Wagner scored 15 points and hit a trey with 32 seconds remaining to tie it at 73, setting up Moseley’s game-winning foul shots. The Gophers threw away the inbounds pass and Mosely made two more free throws with 0.9 seconds left, stopping Minnesota’s 10-game winning streak.
The Terrapins went 29-73 (39.7 percent) from the field for their worst shooting effort of the season, and barely survived to pick up their seventh straight win. They are No. 1 in the Big Ten standings.
Amanda Zauhi had 26 points and 15 rebounds to lead Minnesota (14-2, 3-1). Shae Kelley chipped in 14 for the Golden Gophers.
