The Albert Lea area is under a winter weather advisory as another round of snow is expected today.
Fast accumulation of 2 to 3 inches is expected by evening from the southern Twin Cities metro to Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and south to Albert Lea, according to the National Weather Service.
The winter weather advisory is in effect from noon until 7 p.m. today, with high snowfall rates expected during the afternoon.
The Weather Service stated snow is expected to cause travel difficulties, and people should be prepared for snow-covered roads and limited visibility.
The winter weather comes after Albert Lea received 5 inches of snow over the weekend.
