Carolan & Ciota

Trevor William Carolan and Alexandra Maria Ciota, both of Minneapolis, were married Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at Cathedral-Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis. The Rev. John Bauer, rector of the Basilica, witnessed the exchanging of the vows and the Rev. Dwight Netzer of First Presbyterian Church of Albert Lea led the exchanging of the rings. Both Bauer and Netzer gave messages to the couple at the ceremony.
The Basilica cathedral choir, under the direction of Teri Larson, provided music for the ceremony. The groom is the bass section leader of the cathedral choir. Organist was Christopher Stroh. Choral selections included works by C.H. Parry, J.S. Bach, Palestrina, Tallis, Forrest and Clausen. Organ selections included works by Bach, Durufle, Telemann, Charpentier, Soler and Widor.
Best man was Kenton Engels, college roommate of the groom. Groomsmen were Joshua Trueblood, David Nelson, Justin Erickson, Joshua Hones and Daniel Kuether.
Maid of honor was Morgan Ciota, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Marion, Hollis Hanson-Pollock, Katie Nelson, Brenna Carolan and Shay Carolan.
Flower girls were Gianna and Savannah Ciota, and ring bearer was Michael Ciota, all cousins of the bride.
An evening reception was at Carlson Center Rotunda in Minnetonka.
The groom is a recent graduate of the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis. He graduated with honors from Wartburg College and attended high school in Charles City, Iowa. He is currently an attorney in Minneapolis. He is the son of Greg Carolan of Solon, Iowa, and Debbie Carolan of Charles City.
The bride is a second-year medical student at the University of Minnesota Medical School. She graduated with highest honors from Wartburg College and attended high school in Albert Lea. She is the daughter of Dr. Mark and Allison Ciota of Albert Lea.
The couple resides in Minneapolis.
