A 77-year-old Hollandale man was airlifted to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin Thursday morning after a two-car crash near Waltham.
Mower County Sheriff Terese Amazi said the man T-boned a 31-year-old Hayfield resident after she pulled out into the intersection of 570th Avenue and 320th Street at about 7:43 a.m. Thursday. The Hayfield driver had stopped at a stop sign and didn’t see the Hollandale driver.
Hayfield Ambulance and sheriff’s deputies responded to the crash. The 31-year-old driver injured her elbow, while the 77-year-old bled from his head and right hand. The 31-year-old was taken by ambulance to the Austin hospital as well, according to Amazi.
