Jeanette Fell, 1944-2015

Jeanette L. Fell, 70, of Waseca, died Thursday, March 5, 2015, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Born in Albert Lea Nov. 27, 1944, she was the daughter of Harley and Doris (Sandness) Norby. She attended rural Freeborn School District No. 98 before graduating from Freeborn High School in 1962.

In 1964 Jeanette was married to Dale Schlicht. They later divorced. She married Charles Fell June 29, 1996, in Waseca. She worked for Waseca Mutual and later the E.F. Johnson Company for over 30 years. In her retirement she did food demonstrations at Wal-Mart and also helped the Pheasant Cafe with catering. Jeanette enjoyed boating, antiquing and collecting old telephones as well as cobalt blue glassware and owl figurines. She was a social member of the American Legion in Waseca.

Jeanette is survived by one daughter, Annette (Kenneth) O’Brien, of Waseca; one grandson, Corey O’Brien (Dayla Wetzel); one granddaughter, Jennifer O’Brien; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Sandra Norby (Karen Pendley), of Hartland; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; and one sister, LaVonne Espeland.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca and will continue one hour before services at the funeral home on Monday.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca with the Rev. Chris Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
