Blue Zones Project
Volunteers are needed to help promote events, help set up or organize for events, for data entry or for work at tables/registration for events. Contact Pat Garbisch at 507-377-7433 if interested.
Reading with Students
Volunteers are needed to read with students after school from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Hawthorne Elementary School. Contact Garbisch at 507-377-7433 for details.
Semcac Meal Delivery
Volunteers are needed for meal deliveries in rural areas. If you are interested in helping deliver meals to individuals in need contact Garbisch at 507-377-7433.
Ride Services of Freeborn County
Volunteers are needed to drive clients to various locations. This requires the use of your own car and mileage is reimbursed. For details call Carol Marth at 507-377-7433.
Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors
Able-bodied volunteers are needed to help deliver the NAPS in house at Senior Towers and Senior Court. Help is also needed with home deliveries in the Albert Lea area. These are distributed every third Monday of the month. If you have a truck or large SUV and can help deliver to those in need, call Amanda Evans at 507-377-7433.
Meals on the Go
Volunteers are needed for home delivery in the Albert Lea area. Meals are delivered from Mayo Clinic Health System of Albert Lea. There are various days open for volunteers to fill positions. Call Joann Schwartz for details at 507-373-6031.
