Weekend Planner: Naeve Auxiliary book sale to raise funds for hospital

The Naeve Hospital Auxiliary will host a Books are Fun book sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday in the Naeve Health Care Foundation Board Room in the lower level of the medical center next to the cafeteria.

Patrons can choose from a selection of hundreds of book titles, games, toys and gift items.

All proceeds from this sale will benefit Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. The auxiliary, founded in 1906, serves medical center patients and families and raises funds for equipment, furnishings and patient care items.

Saturday

• The 12th annual Easter egg hunt will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Albert Lea City Arena. Children 0 to 4 and special needs children can hunt for eggs from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Children from 5 to 7 and 8 to 11 can hunt beginning at 10 a.m. sharp. Bring a basket to collect eggs.

• Ross Kleiner and the Thrill will perform at 7:30 p.m. at the Lighthouse Event Center. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

 

Sunday

• Easter brunch will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Green Mill. Cost for adults is $19.99, seniors is $17.95, kids from 6 to 12 are $7.99 and kids under 5 are free. Reservations are strongly encouraged.

• Easter brunch will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wedgewood Cove Golf Club.  Cost for adults is $24.95, seniors is $21.95, children 5 to 23 is $10.95 and children 4 and under are free. Call 507-373-2007 for reservations.
