The bride is the granddaughter Frank and Pat Gjersvik of Albert Lea and Dale and Claudia Hicks of Ava, Missouri.

The groom is the grandson of Hubert and Connie Vote of Bradgate, Iowa and Mary Hanson of Gilmore City, Iowa.

The bride is a graduate of Albert Lea High School. She is employed as a chiropractic assistant at Humboldt Spine and Rehab.

The groom is a graduate of Twin River Valley High School. He is employed as a journey lineman at Mid-American Energy.

A June 20, 2015, wedding is planned at Faith Community Church in Palmer, Iowa.
