Northwood-Kensett golfs through wet conditions

Trevor Varner of Northwood-Kensett drives the ball through a light mist on the fourth hole Friday during a four-team coed meet at Northwood Country Club. Varner completed the course in 47 strokes, which was second in the Vikings’ scoring and eighth overall. Northwood-Kensett, 194, took third place. Erika Heideman of Northwood-Kensett drives the ball on the first hole Friday at Northwood Country Club. Heideman completed the course in 55 strokes, which was second in the Vikings scoring and sixth out of 16 golfers. Although Northwood-Kensett competed against individuals from Nashua-Plainfield, Riceville and West Fork, only Northwood-Kensett and Nashua-Plainfield competed at the team level.
