Funeral services for Ricardo Renteria Cardona will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Theodore Catholic Church. The Rev. Russell Scepaniak and Deacon Michael Ellis will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at St. Theodore Catholic Church and will continue one hour prior to the service the following day.

Ricardo Renteria Cardona, 62, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, with family by his side. He was born on Feb. 7, 1953, in Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, to Jesus Salvador Renteria and Rosa Cardona.

He grew up in Reynosa, Tamaulipas and lived his life to the fullest. As an entrepreneur he always took advantage of his ability to travel and visit his family. He was loved by everyone, always making friends everywhere he went. He will always be remembered for being a noble, caring, hardworking man who loved to share his life stories and advice with his loved ones. He was also the jokester; the life of the party, giving out nicknames was his specialty.

He is survived by his siblings Guillermina Renteria, Agustin Renteria, Rita Renteria, Aurora Renteria, Silvia Renteria, Alma Renteria, Lucy Renteria, Juany Renteria; children Ricardo Renteria (Ricardin), Ricardo Renteria Jr., Abigail Renteria-Sanchez, Keila Renteria Alhennawi and Angela Renteria; and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
