Senior Resources gets ready for dueling pianos

Senior Resources will have its third annual summer fundraiser at Wedgewood Cove Golf Club on Thursday with the Deuces Wild! Dueling Pianos show.
The dueling pianos consist of two men: David Charles Eichholz and Ted Manderfeld. They have performed over 1,500 shows together and have worked exclusively as a duo for over 12 years, traveling all over the country to perform at corporate events, theaters, fundraisers, festivals, weddings and wherever else they’re needed.
The main goal for the duo is to entertain.
Annette Petersen, executive director of Senior Resources of Freeborn County, said she has seen a lot of dueling piano performances, but this is by far the best.
“They bring a lot of laughter with their stage antics,” Petersen said.
Wedgewood Cove Golf Club will serve food, which is included in the ticket. There will also be an open bar available at the show.
In past years, Senior Resources has raised over $6,000 from the event. This event is the main fundraiser for the organization, so they hope to get close to that number again.
According to Petersen, more tables of 10 have been sold this year than in years prior.
“People have a great time.” Petersen said. “They come back and they bring their friends.”
The dueling pianos will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Wedgewood Cove.
Tickets are $35 a person and are available at Senior Resources, Home Federal Bank, Sterling Drug, Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce and the Albert Lea Convention and Visitors Bureau. Tables of 10 are also available for purchase with tickets at $30 per person. For more information, call 507-377-7433.
