Albert Lea takes down 2nd Big Nine Conference opponent

With a win over Rochester John Marshall, the Albert Lea volleyball team notched its second Big Nine Conference win and snapped a three-game losing streak.
The Tigers (2-7, 2-3 Big Nine) beat the Rockets (4-8, 1-4 Big Nine) 3-1 Thursday at Albert Lea.
Game scores were 25-18, 28-26, 23-25 and 25-18.
Tigers’ coach Jamie Cameron said his team faced a tough opponent in the Rockets.
Julia Deyak led the Tigers with 22 kills and 17 digs. Bethany Tennis contributed 24 digs, while Camryn Keyeski racked up 19 digs. Paige Landsman posted 17 assists.
“All the girls worked hard and had a great night as a team,” Cameron said.
Next, Albert Lea will play Red Wing (3-7 overall, 1-3 Big Nine) at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
