Tribune welcomes dialogue, submissions

It is beginning to feel more like fall.
With cooler nights, the start of cooler days and a few leaves changing colors on the trees, it gets me thinking about the last year and the things I have done in my new role at the Tribune.
My life is a lot different since then when I took over as managing editor for Tim Engstrom, who was promoted as the publisher and editor at the Fergus Falls Daily Journal. Overall, my new responsibilities have been going well, and I have loved getting to know more about our community and meeting people in a different capacity.
My passion for journalism is only growing as I work in this role.
I hope people feel comfortable giving your feedback to us about the newspaper, and I welcome your comments. I think we all have the same goal.
One area I would still like to strengthen is submissions from the community. After all, this is your community newspaper, and unfortunately, my staff and I can’t make it to everything.
If you have an event going on that you would like covered, please contact us, and we will do our best to get there.
If your organization has a photo or a press release you would like to run in the paper, send them to sarah.stultz@albertleatribune.com or lifestyles@albertleatribune.com. It is our goal to get all submissions in the newspaper within a week of their submission, ideally within a few days.
Whether it’s a new member in your club, a project you completed in your church group or an awesome story of something your neighbor did, please let us know.
We try to keep connected with our community, but sometimes we don’t know everything that is happening. It won’t hurt to contact us.
Lastly, as we move ahead, the Tribune is looking for a bright journalist with skills in both writing and layout.
If you know of anyone who has recently graduated from college in journalism or communications, or who has experience at a newspaper and is looking for a new opportunity, please let us know. Our former Special Sections Editor Hannah Dillon has moved home to Milaca, and we are looking to fill her spot.
Thank you for your involvement in making our newspaper what it is today.
