Emma Jane Specker Wey and Dane Patrick Andersen announce their engagement.

The bride is the daughter of Howard Wey and Bonny Specker of Brookings, South Dakota, and the granddaughter of Jim and Anne Wey of Dayton, Ohio, and the late Robert and Betty Specker.

The groom is the son of Lyndon and Kimberley Andersen of Burnsville and the grandson of Rita and the late Patrick Andersen and Bill and Frieda Elliot of Albert Lea.

Both the bride and groom graduated from North Dakota State University with degrees in architecture. She is employed at MG2 Architecture in Seattle. He is employed at Tiscareno Associates in Seattle.

An Oct. 2, 2015, wedding is planned at Como Conservatory in St. Paul.
