1 arrested after crash

Albert Lea police arrested Paul Charles Boettcher, 24, for driving after suspension, no proof of insurance, recklessly driving and disorderly conduct after a traffic crash at 4:10 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Bridge Avenue and East Fountain Street. One other person was cited for disorderly conduct and reckless driving and was released. His name wasn’t available as of press time.

The incident reportedly occurred after a truck passed a vehicle Boettcher was driving at a high rate of speed, according to Deputy Director of Police J.D. Carlson. Boettcher reportedly sped up to keep up with the truck. The truck then reportedly slammed on the breaks, causing Boettcher to run into the back of it.

After the two reportedly collided, they allegedly were found fighting in the street.

No injuries were reported. More information is expected to be released today.

Male smashed car windows

A male was reportedly smashing car windows at 12:09 p.m. Thursday at 106 N. St. Mary Ave. He was brought to the emergency room for an evaluation. According to police, the incident was related to mental health. His name wasn’t released.

 

1 arrested for drug possession

Police arrested Joseph Perry White, 29, for felony drug possession at 7:18 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of East Main Street and Marshall Street.

 

Man arrested for disorderly conduct

Police arrested John Daniel Bolinger, 25, for disorderly conduct at 5:02 a.m. Friday at 602 E. 16th St.
