WELLS — A 37-year-old Hartland man was injured Friday morning in a rear-end collision on Interstate 90 in Faribault County.
David M. Johnson was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for injuries deemed not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Johnson was reportedly driving a 2000 Dodge Dakota westbound on I-90 east of Wells at about 9:30 a.m. when he attempted to pass a 2005 International semi and rear-ended the semi.
The semi’s driver, Kelly T. Neider, 54, of North Branch was not injured.
The semi received minor damage, and the pickup was totaled.
According to the State Patrol, both drivers were wearing their seat belts, and it is unknown if alcohol was a factor.
