Teachers, parents and volunteers are gearing up for the annual Hollandale Christian School fall supper fundraiser Friday night.

The event, from 4 to 7 p.m., will be held at the school, 203 S. Central Ave. in Hollandale. Proceeds will support the school.

Ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, carrots, cooked apples, Chinese salad, buns and desserts will be served. Refreshments will include water, milk and coffee.

“For anyone with any curiosity about the school, it’s a great opportunity for a first look,” said Naomi Lenz, a parent volunteer. “Families are able to see our facility, talk to folks that have some knowledge of the school and enjoy a good meal. Events like the fall supper are a fun and easy way to support Hollandale Christian School.”

Lenz said board members and the school’s teaching staff will be present and available throughout the event.

Hollandale Christian School enrolls 65 students from kindergarten through eighth grade, Lenz said.

The figure is lower than its typical enrollment, according to Lenz. She said the school has historically averaged in the range of 80 to 90 students and has space available for students in all grades.

The school holds an apple pie fundraiser each October. According to Lenz, the school sold approximately 700 pies last month.

The school will host a pancake breakfast Dec. 5, and the school’s Christmas program is Dec. 10.

The annual auction is March 18.
