ST. PAUL — It’s Election Day in Minnesota.
Local offices and school board spots are on the ballot in communities across Minnesota. The Secretary of State’s office said 28 cities are holding elections.
Three seats are open in the state Legislature, one representing northeastern Minnesota, another representing Anoka County and the third in Golden Valley. The first of those elections will be held today as District 46A voters choose a successor to DFL Rep. Ryan Winkler, of Golden Valley, in a special election.
Minnesota Public Radio News said 110 school levies are before voters in dozens of districts. Fifty-three school districts will ask voters to approve new operating levies or renew current ones that help pay for teacher salaries, utility bills and other basics.
