Albert Lea police are reporting that civil defense sirens have been inadvertently sounding in parts of Albert Lea since last night.

According to a news release, at least one siren in the southeastern part of the city has been randomly sounding.

It is unknown what is causing the malfunction at this time. Repair crews have been dispatched and will make repairs as soon as possible.
