The Retired Educators of Albert Lea will meet at noon May 12 at Americas Best Value Inn.  Carol Lang, avid gardener and columnist for the Albert Lea Tribune will present, “Save the Monarchs,” an informative talk about these beautiful creatures and of ways to encourage their preservation. ALAREAM is the local organization of retired educators which is part of the state group, REAM.  Both provide opportunities to socialize and to keep abreast  of legislative issues affecting health and pensions.
