The City of Albert Lea is sponsoring its Hometown Pride cleanup day from 9 a.m. to noon April 30.

As part of the event, the city will allow residents with proof of city residency to deposit one load of the free brush and yard waste, household garbage and demolition debris. There will be a charge of $10 per appliance/sofa/mattress, $5 per furniture piece, $3 per passenger car tire. Regular rates will apply for rims and e-waste as well as all other waste, according to a press release.
