ST. PAUL — St. Paul police are trying to piece together the events that led up to a fatal shooting at a park where about 300 people had gathered.
Police spokesman Steve Linders said it was “a chaotic scene” as officers arrived and found a man on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds Sunday night at Indian Mounds Regional Park. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Linders said police were called to the park on reports of a group of people fighting and shots fired.
Police have not said whether others were hit by gunfire or how many people fired shots.
