MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis police are asking for additional witnesses to come forward as they investigate a shooting that left one person dead and at least five others injured.
Police Inspector Mike Kjos said someone opened fire about 9 p.m. Wednesday not far from the city’s 4th police precinct. Responding officers found one person dead. Kjos said the wounded were transported to two trauma centers.
Police set up a perimeter as they searched for a shooter. No one is in custody. Kjos says at least 10 witnesses were interviewed, but police believe there are others that haven’t yet come forward.
